We at Regal Tent Productions have been excitedly following along with the current season of CBC’s Great Canadian Baking Show since it premiered on Wednesday, November 1st. Not only was it awesome to see our tents being used as the home of the baking challenges every week, but the show was absolutely fantastic to boot!

In case you didn’t have the chance to read our blog post when the show first aired in November, we were contacted by Proper Television in early 2017 about creating a space where they could film their brand new baking show. They wanted something unique and interesting for their baking tent, and judging area, and so we got to work creating the perfect space for them!

The creation of this tent was a real labour of imagination and hard work, with our crew being on site at The Canadian Film Centre for several weeks building the custom 40′ x 98′ High Peak Clearspan Tent that became the home for the show’s cast and crew over the summer.  We even extended the floor outside the tent to act as outdoor patio space! There was also a 15′ x 15′ High Peak Frame Tent set up on our level, elevated Bil-jax flooring that acted as the judging area!

We so enjoyed working on this project with Proper Television, and are looking forward to seeing what they have in store for what is sure to be The Great Canadian Baking Show – Season 2! Huge congrats from us to this year’s winner, 24 year old Sabrina Degni from Montreal, Canada who was the youngest contestant on the show, and also one of the most imaginative!
