On December 8th, the staff of Regal Tent Productions headed out to Bad Axe Throwing in Burlington for our annual Christmas party! Bad Axe Throwing is the world’s biggest urban axe throwing club, whose mission is to bring the thrill of a traditional Canadian backyard pastime to urban communities. With the help of their talented axe throwing coaches, the Regal crew were schooled in how to (safely) enjoy our afternoon of friendly competition, and spent the next three hours vying to beat each other out for the title of ‘Regal Axe Throwing Champion’!

Regal owners Michael and Susan McCulloch kicked off the fun by throwing out the first axes, and the round robin team competition began with all four of the Burlington location’s throwing lanes being utilized. We threw axes blindfolded, with our legs propped up on stools, we threw two axes at a time and hey, if you wanted to go for triple points – you could do all three at the same time! It was such a fun way to spend time with our colleagues, and the food and beer didn’t hurt either!

In the end, Senior Crew Leader Frank Greco walked away as the day’s winner after defeating everyone else on staff! The rest of the Regal crew continued to enjoy socializing throughout the afternoon, and in the end it was an absolutely perfect way for the whole team to come together and celebrate another incredibly successful year at Regal Tent! We’re so fortunate to work for a company that values and appreciates its employees, and our Christmas axe throwing party is just one small example of how Regal shows appreciation to its staff year round. Here’s to another amazing Regal year in 2018 (and maybe even a little more axe throwing!)!
