This year we celebrated 30 years of Regal Tent Productions Ltd. which made our annual READ (Regal Employee Appreciation Day) BBQ on July 13th even more special than usual! It’s always been incredibly important to Michael and Susan McCulloch, Regal Tent’s owners, to show their employees just how much their hard work and dedication is appreciated, so they offer all their staff an afternoon of food, fun and recognition on an annual basis!

Delicious burgers, sausages and all the best BBQ side salads were on hand for everyone to enjoy while we mingled, ate and got ready to compete in some very fun ‘Minute to Win It’ themed games under our 40′ x 30′ Legacy Tent! Our Human Resources Manager Kate Woods pulled out all the stops with some friendly competition involving ping pong balls, mini marshmallows and balloons! The teams pulled out all the stops trying to win their events, and were rewarded with the essential Canadian prize – Tim Hortons’ gift cards!

We also took a moment to celebrate some of our hardest working staff with Above & Beyond Awards being distributed to 8 staff members who were nominated by management for their exceptional work over the past year. There were also Peer Awards given out to employees who were recognized by their coworkers for going the extra mile, as well as an award raffled off between employees who have had a perfect attendance record this year!

One thing remains true, and that is that even after 30 years in business, Michael and Susan still know how to create a working environment that encourages their employees to think for themselves, educate themselves, and enjoy the recognition that comes from that hard work. These efforts continue to make Regal Tent Productions a pretty amazing place to work (and the ice cream truck that brought our dessert didn’t hurt either!)!
